Christmas on the Bay of LA

Last night we went to bed hoping Santa would find us. We put up the awning so he could see us better…

I woke up and we saw that the cookies and milk were gone. And that’s good. We got out of the van and guess what?! There were presents there. Santa brought me a lego set of mini figures/beach stuff. I also got a soccer ball, a beach chair. Me Miles and Fin all got beach chairs and beach legos. I got a mini car and some chocolate. I also got a selfie puzzle but mom said we can’t open it until we get to our condo which is in a looong time. Then we had breakfast and then went paddle boarding. I went with mom. We saw fish and dolphins came right by us! It was fun.

I was so excited we were finally going to test out our new wetsuits in the afternoon. I begged Dad to test out the cool water in the Bay. The task of putting on the wetsuits proved to be very hard but I soon got the hang of it. I practically skipped to the water but was careful getting in over the slippery rocks. The water started coming in my wetsuit and I cringed at the coldness. I told myself to suck it up and pulled on my scuba mask and dove in. We swam around for a while until we discovered a few kinds of fish. One made me very frightened. It was about a foot long, with a zebra pattern of scales, orange eyes with green eyeballs. They started to sketch me out so I tried to get away from them but they followed me. I got over it and Dad and I swam over to a rock in deeper waters. All of a sudden I heard Dad Yelp with surprise. Something was nipping at his heal and he screamed like a baby girl. Soon he gave an even louder yelp which was caused by a mystery Fish putting his whole toe in its mouth. I quickly dove in not wanting it to eat my feet. We got out of the bay and had to peel our wetsuits off. It was a great trial run!

We rinsed with our new shower and it worked great! What a good Christmas!
