After trying to encourage Ollie to jump off the pool’s platform for almost two weeks, the breakthrough moment finally arrived. I was sitting at the condo reading my book when Mom came thundering in telling me I absolutely had to go see something at the pool. Expecting just an animal or something not worth waking me from my half-conscious state in which I settle into while reading, grumpily got up from the couch. I walked over to the pool and was ecstatic to see that Ollie was jumping off. I yelled, “Yah Ollie!!!!!” I went back to the condo and got my swimming stuff on and went to jump in.
