Haircuts (dad’s new groove)

Dad’s got a new skill. Guess what it is…KIDS’ BARBER! I wanted to cut my hair really bad because it was so annoying. Every single morning, after the pool, after the beach, after a shower, after everything I had to brush it! It was always tangly and the longer it got, the worse the tangles were. But, thanks to dad, he was brave enough to cut it (Dad says I was brave enough to let him cut it).

Mom and Miles were going paddleboarding and dad told me to get a stool because he was ready to cut. We got the supplies and watched a few YouTube videos on how we should do it. On the last video we were half way through it and dad said, “I got this.”

So I sat down on the stool out on the balcony, hair wet and showered (like you are supposed to according to the videos) and I heard scissors go SNIP!, and my hair was off my head. It took like 40 minutes to do it. My head felt sooooo much better having all that weight gone. We were done and I hopped in the shower again to get all the hair off me so I wasn’t that itchy. Afterwards, I looked in the mirror and saw that my hair was higher than my shoulders. It felt so good! When mom got back with Miles she saw me and said ”Oh my gosh!” Miles said I looked different. We had dinner and Miles said he wanted to cut his hair.

The next day in the mid afternoon Miles showered and got a stool. We looked at a lot of boy hair cuts online, and Miles chose one. Dad got his supplies and SNIP!, his hair was off.  It took about an hour to cut it. When he was done he got in the shower again and he kept on saying “I look so different!” He wanted to throw his brush in the….ocean! I was the one who gave him the idea.

THANK YOU SO MUCH DAD.  LOVE YOU
