I can’t believe we’ve been in Punta de Mita for two weeks already. That means we only have two more weeks left until we meet up with our friends in Sayulita and then begin our journey home. Where has the time gone?
Life in Punta de Mita is decidedly different than life in Cerritos. While this is still a pretty small town, PdM is bigger and a lot more developed than Cerritos. Developed as in all the roads here are paved, all the beachfront is developed and there are a lot

more stores and restaurants. The beach is closer to us here, but the one in front of our condo is rocky so less swimmable than Cerritos but we’ve gone out a few times on paddleboards. So far we’ve gone to Puerto Vallarta to stock up and check out the town, Miles and mom took a trip to Bucerias to run some errands, we’ve hiked to La Lancha beach to check out the surf and gone to Sayulita a couple times to spend the day. We love (well, mom loves) to wander around Punta de Mita. Last weekend we

met up with our friends David and Dianne Maxfield who spend their winters in Puerto Vallarta and it was great to catch up with them.
But a normal day for us means waking up with the sunrise (and the roosters right across the street) just before seven and then having breakfast out on the balcony.
Then we might take a morning beach walk.
After that we do some school.
And then take a mid-morning pool break.
After the pool we eat lunch and then finish up school for the day.
In the afternoons we might read, play card games, or take a dip in the plunge pool at our condo.
Before dinner we usually have to run to the mini-super up the road to get something we are missing.
Then we either make dinner or go check out a local restaurant.
In the evenings we usually play a family game of Hearts or watch American Ninja Warrior.
Our condo here is pretty dreamy. It looks right out on the Bay of Banderas. Off in the distance to the left we can see the high rises of Puerto Vallarta and off to the right we see the Marietta Islands. The best part of all is watching whales breach out in the bay. We get to see it every day and it never gets old. It is so cool to see!
